Budget bill [fees – automated record keeping fee]

Effective § 259 effective May 7, 2015; § 256, § 258 and § 260 effective July 1, 2015
Amends the statutes governing the automated record keeping fee by (1) removing the deposit of this fee in the clerk’s perpetuation fund, (2) requiring the clerk to collect this fee in all civil, criminal, infraction and ordinance violation actions in the amount of $19 after June 30, 2015 and before July 1, 2017 (only $5 may be collected in actions in which the accused person enters into a pretrial diversion program agreement under IC 33-39-1-8 or a deferral program agreement under IC 34-28-5-1), (3) requiring the clerk to collect this fee in all civil, criminal, infraction and ordinance violation actions in the amount of $5 after June 30, 2017, and (4) directing the clerk to deposit 100% of this fee not otherwise distributed in the state general fund.
