The House Courts and Criminal Code Committee heard Rep. Ellington’s HB 1019 on controlled substances. The bill adds the substance U-47700 to the definition of “synthetic drug” included in Schedule I of classified controlled substances.
An amendment was offered to add an additional substance to Schedule I. Testimony in support of the bill was heard from the Indiana Prosecuting Attorney’s Council and Indiana Professional Licensing Agency. The amended bill passed 8-0.
