The Senate Civil Law Committee heard Sen. Tomes’ SB 43 removing penal facilities from the list of locations where employer ordinances, resolutions, policies, or rules prohibiting the possession of firearms in locked vehicles on employer property may be enforced.
The bill was amended to allow firearms to be at penal facilities if they are in a locked case. The amended bill passed 7-1.
