The House Judiciary Committee heard SB 443 on uniform business organization laws sponsored by Rep. Carbaugh. The bill consolidates language and ensures consistency among the various business law entities within the Indiana Code. Author Sen. Bray introduced the bill, then deferred to Justice Sullivan to report on behalf of the Business Law Survey Commission which produced this proposal. A technical amendment was adopted by consent. Representatives from the Secretary of State’s Office and the Indiana State Bar Association, Business Law Section testified in support of the bill.
The amended bill passed 11-0.
