The House Judiciary Committee heard SB 121, sponsored by Rep. Steuerwald, on adverse possession. The bill permits an entity exempt from federal income taxation under Section 501 of the Internal Revenue Code from the payment of taxation to claim property by adverse possession.
Representatives of the Indiana Land Title Association and Indiana State Bar Association testified on the bill. The bill passed 12-0.
