The House Public Policy Committee heard SB 1 on e-liquids sponsored by Rep. Lehman and Rep. Steuerwald. The bill addresses the over-regulation of e-liquids in Indiana and provides that a retailer who fails to verify the age of a person less than 27 years of age and sells the person e-liquids, commits a Class C infraction.
Extensive testimony was heard from industry associations and businessmen in support of the bill. The bill was held for further discussion and amendment next week.
