Effective: July 1, 2017
Makes the penalty for crimes concerning certain election filings a Class A misdemeanor. (Under current law, the offenses are Level 6 felonies.) Reduces several crimes concerning elections from Level 6 felonies to Class C infractions, and removes a provision prohibiting the possession of a pencil outside a polling area.
Permits an alcoholic beverage retailer or dealer to: (1) accept credit cards; and (2) extend credit to a consumer if the amount owed is paid before the consumer leaves the premises.
