The House Local Government Committee heard HB 1140 authored by Rep. D. Miller allowing a county to enter into an interlocal agreement for ordinance violations bureau with a city to handle its ordinance violations through the city court. The bill also allows a city court to maintain jurisdiction over these matters.
A representative from Accelerate Indiana Municipalities testified in favor of the bill. The bill passed 11-0.
