The Senate Judiciary Committee heard SB 180 on uniform business organizationsauthored by Sen. Bray. The bill makes various technical amendments to the Uniform Business Organizations Code and Uniform Business Organization Transactions Act, including changes in provisions concerning information to be submitted in filings with the secretary of state, use of business names, registration of foreign entities, and administrative dissolution, and makes conforming changes. Former Justice Frank Sullivan and a representative from the Indiana Secretary of State testified in support of the bill. The bill was amended and passed 8-0.
