The bill allows the judges of the Jefferson County circuit and superior courts to appoint a magistrate to serve the Jefferson County courts. The bill also allows the judges of the Scott County circuit and superior courts to appoint a magistrate to serve the Scott County courts.
Testimony was presented in favor of the bill by the Judges of the Jefferson Superior Court and the Scott Circuit Court. The bill passed 9-0.
