The Senate Judiciary Committee heard SB 206 authored by Sen. M. Young on child support modification. The bill defines, for purposes of child support modification, an order with respect to child support and the appropriate timing for such requests. The 12-month period starts at the time of initial order or any future modification of child support.
A representative from the Indiana Prosecuting Attorneys Council testified in support of the bill but requested a clarification amendment which was adopted by consent. The amended bill passed 11-0.
