 SCR 16 Urging the legislative council to assign to an appropriate interim study committee the task of assessing the laws and policies concerning the adjudication and rehabilitation of juvenile offenders

SB 1 Department of Child Services

  • Floor amendments: The bill was amended on 2nd reading to include crimes committed in other jurisdictions that are substantially similar to the crimes in the bill for the purposes of determining consent to adoption. Amended on 3rd reading to redefine the term “long term foster parent;” add a new section providing a foster parent with the right to intervene in a CHINS proceeding; and schedule a hearing within 30 days of the filing of notice that termination of parental rights has not been filed as required.
