The House Judiciary Committee heard SB 80 on code revision corrections, sponsored by Rep. Steuerwald. The bill addresses problems in the Indiana Code not suitable for resolution in the annual Technical Corrections bill, corresponding amendment to certain percentages and overly broad or ambiguous language, including amendment to Ind. Code 29-1-17-2. The introduced version of this bill was prepared by the code revision commission.
The bill was amended by consent to remove a provision of the bill concerning the timing of the requirement that a lessor in a rental purchase transaction provide to the lessee a copy of the signed rental purchase agreement. The amended bill passed 11-0.
