The Senate Corrections and Criminal Code Committee heard HC 28 urging the Indiana Senate and Indiana House of Representatives to adopt a practice of recommitting all bills creating or amending a criminal penalty to the Senate Corrections and Criminal Law Committee or the House Courts and Criminal Code Committee after passing the committee where the bill was originally assigned. The resolution is sponsored by Sens. Young and Randolph and was presented by Rep. McNamara.
The resolution was adopted 7-0.
