The Senate Judiciary Committee heard SB 17 concerning campground matters authored by Sen. Doriot and Sen. Rogers. The bill, as amended by the committee, outlines circumstances in which a campground owner, as defined in the bill, can request an individual to leave the property and a person’s failure to do so commits criminal trespass under IC 35-43-2-2.
Two campground owners and the Executive Director of the Recreational Vehicle Indiana Council testified in support. The bill passed as amended 8-0.
