The Senate Judiciary Committee heard SB 152 concerning Delaware Circuit Courts authored by Sen. Gaskill. The bill would eliminate the 6th circuit court in Delaware County. Last week testimony was received from two Delaware County Council members in support of the bill, and Delaware Circuit Court Judge Kim Dowling and the Indiana Judges Association testified in opposition. The bill was held for amendment. This week discussion continued on the bill without amendment. The bill passed 8-2.
