Full faith and credit for tribal court orders

The Senate Judiciary Committee heard HB 1441 on full faith and credit for tribal court orders sponsored by Sen. L. Brown and Sen. Niezgodski.  Author Rep. Delaney presented the bill which requires that, under certain circumstances, a court of record in Indiana shall give full faith and credit to judgments and orders of a tribal court affiliated with the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians.
The Indiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence and the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians testified in support of the bill.  The bill passed 10-0.
