The House Judiciary Committee heard SB 276 on powers of guardian after death sponsored by Rep. J. Young and Rep. Hatfield. The author, Sen. Lanane, introduced the bill which authorizes certain guardians to make certain arrangements and control the disposition of a decedent’s body subsequent to the death of a protected person.
Representatives from Indiana Association of Area Agencies on Aging and WINGS Taskforce, and AARP testified in support of the bill.
The bill passed 9-0.
