The Senate Judiciary Committee heard HJR 3 on the gubernatorial line of succession sponsored by Sen. Raatz. The author, Rep. Prescott, presented the resolution which proposes an amendment to Article 5, Section 10 of the Indiana Constitution to remove the state superintendent of public instruction from the list of officeholders in the line of succession. The resolution passed 11-0.
