The House Judiciary Committee heard SB 67 sponsored by Rep. J. Young and authored by Sen. Lanane and Sen. Young on small estates. The bill increases the value of estates that may be distributed via affidavit from $50,000 to $100,000 and increases the threshold for summary procedures for unsupervised estates from $50,000 to $100,000.
Testimony was presented in favor of the bill by the Indiana State Bar Association. The bill passed 9-1.
