The House Committee on Roads & Transportation heard HB 1049 authorized by Rep. Pressel on bicycle traffic control signals. This bill would permit cyclists to make left turns from a left turn lane on a one-way street to another one-way street with the flow of traffic.
The bill was amended to simplify left turn language and to assign the following topics to a study committee: review of state and local bridge needs, a long-term plan for state highway and bridge needs, and a long-term plan for local road and bridge needs The amended bill passed 11-0.
