The House Judiciary Committee heard HB 1504 authored by Rep. Speedy on enforcement of deceptive consumer sales act, which allows the attorney general to intervene and file suit when the commercial transaction was between two companies but harmed consumers as a result.
The Attorney General’s Office testified in support of the bill. The bill passed 8-3.
