The bill provides: (1) the county, township, and town residency requirements prescribed by Article 6, Section 6 of the Constitution of the State of Indiana would not apply to city or town court judges, and (2) the city or town court judge shall reside in the county where the city or town court is located, or the boarding Indiana county that is the closest Indiana county to the city or town court by measuring the shortest distance between the city or town limits and the county line.
