The House Committee on Family, Children and Human Affairs heard SB 109 on adult protective services authored by Sen. Crider and Sen. Johnson and sponsored by Rep. DeVon. The bill allows the division of aging to contract with a person qualified to provide adult protective services and removes language that allowed the division to contract with a governmental entity if a prosecuting attorney decides not to enter into a contract.
Testimony in support was offered by FSSA and the Indiana Association of Area Agencies on Aging. The bill passed 10-0.
