The Senate Judiciary Committee heard HJ 3 on terms of US Senators and members of Congress authored by Rep. Hall and sponsored by Sen. Holdman and Sen. Alexander. The joint resolution applies to Congress for a Convention for proposing Amendments under Article V of the Constitution of the United States to provide limits to the number of terms that an individual may serve in the United States House of Representatives and in the United States Senate.
Two members of the public testified against the joint resolution and a representative from US Term Limits testified in favor. The joint resolution failed on a vote of 5-6.
