The House Courts and Criminal Code Committee heard HB 1056 authored by Rep. McNamara and by Rep. Steuerwald on controlled substances. The bill adds 2-Methyl AP-237 to the list of schedule I controlled substances.
The bill was amended by consent to (1) add a controlled substance; (2) add U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration controlled substance code numbers to certain controlled substances already codified in the statute; and (3) make technical corrections.
The Indiana Professional Licensing Agency testified in support of the bill. The amended bill passed 13-0.
