The House Courts and Criminal Code Committee heard HJ 1 authored by Rep. Aylesworth on town and city court judges. The resolution provides that the judge of a city or town court shall reside in the county in which the city or town court is located or the bordering Indiana county that is the closest Indiana county to the city or town in which the court is located. The General Assembly has previously agreed to the proposed amendment.
