The House Courts and Criminal Code Committee heard HB 1543 authored by Rep. Heaton and Rep. Pfaff on Vigo County courts. The bill allows the judges of the Vigo circuit and superior courts to jointly appoint one magistrate to serve the Vigo County courts.
Vigo County judges, Judge Sarah Mullican and Judge Daniel Kelly, testified in support of the bill. The bill passed 11-0.
