The House Ways and Means Committee heard SB 4 on various fiscal matters sponsored by Rep. Snow and Rep. Thompson and authored by Sen. Mishler and Sen. Garten. In relevant part, the bill urges the legislative council to assign to the interim study committee on courts and the judiciary the task of undertaking a comprehensive study of all court fees and fines. The Committee amended the bill by consent and neither amendment contained language on court costs and fines.
