The Senate Committee on Corrections and Criminal Law heard Sen. Ban on sex offenders providing child care services

The Senate Committee on Family and Children Services heard Sen. Mrvan’s SB 258 banning sex offenders from providing child care services. Indiana Prosecuting Attorneys Council testified in support of the bill. The bill passed 9-0. Regional holding facility

The Senate Corrections and Criminal Law Committee heard SB 198 on controlled substances in penal facilities by Sen. Bohacek. This bill makes committing a controlled substance offense on the property of a penal facility or juvenile facility an enhancing circumstance at the penalty phase.
