Drug schedules

The Senate Corrections and Criminal Law Committee heard SB 122, authored by Sen. M. Young. regarding drug schedules.  The bill adds two new schedule I drugs to the statutory drug schedule: a synthetic opioid and a synthetic cannabinoid.  The bill removes Epidiolex, a cannabidiol seizure prescription medication, from schedule V. Theft of catalytic converters

The Senate Corrections and Criminal Law Committee heard SB 167, authored by Sen. Sandlin regarding theft of catalytic converters.  The bill provides the theft of a component part of a motor vehicle, including a catalytic converter, is a Level 6 felony.
