The Senate Corrections and Criminal Law Committee heard HB 1187 concerning stolen valor sponsored by Sen. Glick. The bill provides that a person who knowingly or intentionally fraudulently represents to be an active member or veteran of the armed forces of the United States, uses falsified military identification, or fraudulently claims to be a recipient of certain military honors to obtain money, property, or another benefit commits a Class A misdemeanor.
